Beginning with a scenic voyage across what is widely regarded as the prettiest lake in the National Park, this signature walk explores Ullswater from two stunning perspectives. We set sail aboard the historic Ullswater Steamer, taking in sweeping mountain views from the water before stepping ashore to climb Hallin Fell—a compact Wainwright summit boasting one of the highest visual reward-to-effort ratios in the National Park. From the top, we descend to follow a guided shoreline walk along the wilder, unspoilt shore back to our starting point.
