Terms & Conditions
Welcome to Inspirit Walking. By booking a private guided day, corporate expedition, or group itinerary with us, you (the Client) agree to the following terms and conditions. If you are booking on behalf of a private party, family, or corporate group, you confirm that you have the authority to accept these terms on behalf of all participants in your group.
1. Booking, Payment, and Rates
Rate Structure: Our private guiding and bespoke itineraries operate on a premium tier, with base rates starting at £320.
Payment Terms: To secure your requested date, full payment must be settled at the time of booking via our online instant book system. Bookings are not confirmed until full payment has cleared.
2. Cancellations, Rescheduling, and Refunds
As an independent premium agency, a confirmed booking blocks our calendar entirely for your experience. Because we turn away other high-value clients to protect your date, we enforce a strict 4-week sliding cancellation scale:
Cancellations 28 days or more before the scheduled walk will receive a full 100% refund.
Cancellations between 14 and 27 days before the scheduled walk will receive a 50% refund.
Cancellations less than 14 days before the scheduled walk are completely non-refundable.
Inspirit Walking Cancellations: In the highly exceptional event that we must cancel an itinerary due to extreme, unsafe weather conditions (such as severe gales, lightning, or severe winter hazards) or guide illness, we will offer you an alternative date or a full 100% refund.
3. Arrival, Punctuality, and Group Delays
Timely Departure: Out of respect for trail safety, route timing, and daylight hours, experiences must start on time.
Lateness Cap: If your group is delayed by more than 30 minutes past the scheduled meet time without communication, or more than 60 minutes with communication, Inspirit Walking reserves the right to shorten the route accordingly or cancel the booking entirely without a refund.
4. Safety, Risk, and Participant Responsibility
Inherent Risk: By nature, hill walking involves inherent outdoor hazards, including uneven terrain, rapid weather shifts, and physical exertion. Participants must accept an element of personal risk.
Guide Authority: All decisions regarding route changes, weather adjustments, and safety protocols are at the absolute discretion of your qualified guide. Group members must follow guide instructions at all times.
Client Health & Fitness: It is the Client’s responsibility to ensure that all members of their party possess a suitable level of fitness for the chosen itinerary. Any pre-existing medical conditions, severe allergies, or injuries that could impact safety must be disclosed confidentially prior to setting off.
5. Essential Kit Requirements
Mandatory Equipment: For safety, comfort, and protection against changing mountain conditions, all participants must strictly adhere to the mandatory clothing and equipment requirements outlined in the Inspirit Walking Kit List sent to you upon booking.
Refusal of Service: Your guide reserves the right to refuse to lead any individual who arrives without the mandatory safety gear, as specified in your pre-trip kit list. In this event, no refunds will be issued.
6. Liability Limitations
Personal Loss: Inspirit Walking maintains comprehensive public liability insurance. However, we accept no liability for the loss, theft, or damage of personal items, electronics, or vehicles during an activity.
Personal Injury: Inspirit Walking accepts no liability for personal injury or accidental mishaps on the trail, except where such injury is directly caused by the proven negligence of the company or its guides.
7. Media, Privacy, and Feedback
Photography: We love capturing great memories on the trail. Photos taken of your group during the walk may be used for marketing, our website, or social media channels. If you or anyone in your party prefers not to be photographed, please inform us explicitly at the time of booking.
Data Protection: Your contact details are handled with strict confidentiality and used solely to manage your booking, safety notifications, and occasional premium updates. We never sell or share your data with third parties.
Concerns & Feedback: If you have any concerns during your trek, please raise them immediately with your guide so we can resolve them on the spot. Formal feedback or complaints can be submitted in writing via email.
Participant Declaration
By completing your booking, you confirm that you and all members of your party understand and accept the following conditions:
Assumption of Risk: I accept that mountain walking carries an inherent risk of injury and agree that all participants are responsible for their own personal safety at all times.
Safety Compliance: I agree to undertake the activity in strict accordance with all safety rules, advice, and instructions provided by the guide before, during, and after the walk.
Mandatory Kit: I agree that all participants will wear and carry the appropriate equipment as specified in the pre-trip kit list provided.
Liability & Negligence: I acknowledge that in the unlikely event of an accident, loss, or damage to personal effects, Inspirit Walking will not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury (except where death or personal injury is directly caused by the proven negligence of the company or its guides).
Medical Disclosure: I confirm that all known medical conditions, severe allergies, or physical limitations that could affect the activity or compromise group safety have been fully disclosed to Inspirit Walking prior to departure.
